I don't even know where to start, so much to share. Lack of recent blogging overwhelmeth. We ended retreat season with 4 weekends in a row, so now I will have time to spend on here reflecting on the many wonderful things that went down. I'm looking forward to shifting gears.
I'm thinking that the best place to start is with Cowgirls vs. Cancer. We've started taking nominations for our 2015 program during October, which is breast cancer awareness month. Next year will be our 6th year for Healing with Horses & Yoga, and the 4th time that we are able to dedicate an entire retreat to scholarship recipients. During October, breast cancer awareness month, we are accepting nominations for 2015 cancer kickin' cowgirls. If you or someone you know is a breast cancer survivor, share your story with us - here's how. We'll be taking nominations until November 15, 2014. And this year...we are partnering with Old Gringo to give a pair of cancer kickin' cowgirl boots to two women currently in treatment for breast cancer. We'll be taking nominations for that through December 31, 2014 here.
As this program grows and evolves, I love seeing new partners join us on this journey. Earlier this year, KiraGrace donated pink yoga leggings to our 2014 C vs C yoginis. Now during nominations for next year, they are donating 100% - 100%! - of the profits from their gorgeous Goddess Luxe One Shoulder top in fuchsia. Yoga clothes for a cause - get yours by November 15 and your good taste will benefit Cowgirls vs. Cancer 100%.
Our own Lisa is a KiraGrace Warrior, so it's her we have to thank for this fun fundraising opportunity. She is wearing the Goddess top here (in coral - don't forget to think pink for October), at Cowgirl Yogatography, our last retreat of the 2014 season last weekend.
Yeehaw & Namaste, here's to kicking cancer's ass.
