Morgane hikes too

Here's Morgane at Palisade Falls, a family friendly hike we did last weekend. I love the look on her face - pure happiness. There is a great book called Calm and Compassionate Children, by Susan Usha Dermond, that talks about the value of exposing kids to nature. Love this tidbit from it:

Shakespeare put it poetically: "One touch of Nature makes the whole world kin." When children have the chance to be aware in nature, they almost always feel that kinship, and feeling kinship with any form of life increases one's compassion.
